never underestimate an arowana

Well i went ahead and added some baby monsters to my aquarium containing a 8 inch silver arowana. The aquarium is 150 gallons. I ordered two aba aba knife fish (well aware of their size, working on an indoor pond) both at about 4 inches and one 7 inch african spotted lungfish. I received the fish and the first day all was well, woke up the next morning two find my aro with both abas in his mouth. The greedy little thing could barley even get them down and wasnt letting them go for anything. After he got them down he was begging for worms (his treat). What did i learn? Never trust an arowana of any size!

That was $50 worth of food for one day!

lol that still cheap compare to mine silver. I got mine 20" for $10 and it kill 2 of my peacock bass at 8" almost kill my 10" giant gourami and 9" green terror. Turn out mine silver cost me $140 now .

It's a huge difference in size in both cases so I wouldn't blame the silvers...

Aba aba's should be kept by themselves and WAL tend to serial kill stuff as well. Be glad your arow got them before they got him!

Silver arowanas are interesting fish. When I feed them, they rub against me. We have dogs to pet but I swear my arowana (Goliath) loves to be petted.
