Title pretty much says it all. I got up this morning and realized I had left the lid open after feeding last night. I expected the worst, but I checked the tank and saw that although the del and weeksii were still fine, the ropefish was missing. I checked all around the tank, but it definitely hadn't jumped out (the floor is carpet, and it's a small room, so I checked everywhere). I checked underneath the driftwood, not there. So, on a final whim, I checked in the bulkheads. Yeah, it had somehow managed to squeeze into one. The gap between the top of the bulkhead and the glass top of the tank was too small for even my pinky to fit in, probably a 1/4" or less. And yet, it had done it. We pulled it out, which was not an easy task, it was jammed in there pretty well. It has a pretty long scratch from getting in there, and last I checked it was upside-down in the tank. Still breathing, but it's not looking good. Really odd coincidence that this happened on the day I left the lid open. I tried to find a connection between the two but couldn't. Anyways, just a warning to all. No matter how small the gap is, they can get through it.
