Me and my little bro setup this tank about a week ago. I put the filter insert into my filter so that it could get some bacteria on it, so there would be an instant cycle. it was in my tank for about a week now its in his with a guppy so the colony doesnt die. I dont know what kind of fish he is going to put in it but prob not any monsters this is like his first tank. What do you guys think?

Very nice, a real talent for aquascaping.

Go with all small fish, that way you can watch them school.

Neons or even more guppies.

All fish are nice to watch.

A female convict, a bala shark, a guppy, a clown loach, an Oscar, a Dovii, and an aparimia gigas. That will leave you with some room for like four male bettas and a Red bellied pacu...

Not Serious....

That is a nice setup, I like a small puffer maybe a green spotted. The one I had was full of personality. Just need to keep the water warm and and a lil salt to keep them happy.

I like Glow Light Tetras.
I have some in my 10 gallon. They have really nice oranges.

Green spotted puffers need a 30 gallon min. as they grow to about 6" and they need to be in saltwater as adults. They will slowly die in freshwater.

thanks guys, i think he wants to put some mollies and swordtails in there

ooo, I think he would be better off with a small school of small tetras. Being that it is his first tank he wont have to deal with salt for the mollies.

One of the nicest tanks I ever saw was a planted 10 gallon that was perfectly aquascaped and held a colony of shrimp.

Swordtails are good, and platys generally do well with them. Add some floating wisteria and you will have some fry in no time.
