I recently purchased a 100 gallon aquarium and I need some suggestions on what fish I should put into it. I would like an aggressive fish but one that won't really grow out of the tank, and I don't want an Oscar since I've had one before. Any suggestions will help!

lot of choices out there, just how many fish you plan for the tank?

Well I don't want it to be over crowded so the fish (depending on the size would determine how many I would get) would be the center piece of the tank and have some smaller was ones around it

As stated before there are sooo many types of fish you could put in the tank. Some of my personal favorites or fish I wish I had room for that wouldn't outgrow that tank would include electric blue jack Dempseys, jack dempsey's, green terrors, chocolate cichlids, severums (not for sure on those last 2, they're on my want list but I think they'd fit long term), and carpintis/Texas cichlids. That's all I can think of off the top of my head that I would like but there are many many more and everyone will have their recommendations. (Not recommending all of these in the same tank at once btw)

Check out parachromis friedrichsthalii and loisellei never kept them but may be able to tey a pair (ask other members) or viejas (my favirote) probably only be able to keep on adult vieja maybe a pair of heterospilus.

I would do a single Lyonsi with some dithers.
