My glass 125 gal. tank has a rather small scratch about 2/3 the way up. It does not go all the way through. WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused::confused:

This a new tank you bought from a store? OR a new to you tank that you bought used?

If it's a brand spanking new tank from a store, it'll have a warranty. Switch for a different tank.

If you bought it used. Your SOL. Try to repair it!

If it's a crack, take it back. If it's a scratch it doesn't matter.

It's used....

Agreed with 12 Volt Man.

But, if it is cracked, can't you just use a piece of glass and silicone it over the crack? Or, will it still effect the structural integrity of the tank?

It doesnt go through the glass its only on the inside so im thinking its a scratch. Because i bought it used im keeping it outside filled up for a week to check for leaks.

If it's in the middle of the pane I don't think it's a crack.
If it's near the edge it could be a crack.
A crack usually comes from the edge, due to something chipping it or set up wrong.

its all good. my 125 was pretty scratched when i got it... not even noticable when its filled with water.
