hello i just got a new 125 tank i was wonderig your opion would you go with a Fluval FX5 or a pro-clear.com wet/dry which one is better to maintance thanks

I agree get both, a wet/dry and FX5 but I think you can do better then the pro clear...

The best thing to do is to have as much filtration as possible, so both is good. What is the planned stocklist for the tank?

You can't over filter. the good thing about having both is that the FX5 is a huge mech. filter and the wet/dry is a huge bio fiter. They both can have a good amount of chem. media allthough IMO chemical media is not that nessisary if ou keep up with your water changes.


So I would go with both but look into a different wet/dry you should be ableto find a good used onearound here somewhere

how bout an FX5 and run the return to a DIY trickle filter type thing above your tank.
