This will be a reef tank after I get done getting live rock and all of the accessories I need. Probably after our tax return.

125 gallon 6x18". Been set up for over a month now and all of the water parameters check out. I check often. I have two Emperor 350's (really just for added surface agitation and flow). Two Hydor Koralia powerheads and a wet/dry rated for a 75 gallon tank from an old saltwater set up that I tore down. I plan to upgrade this. I also plan to purchase a new protein skimmer very soon as well as some Halides. Currently has about 100 lbs of live rock and 140 pounds of sand. Clown fish were all added at the same time and get along very well. Also had some hitchikers come in on live rock (turbo snails, stone crab-quickly killed by pliers, hermit crabs and slugs)

I will upload a new video of this tank as well as my old tank that i tore down a few years ago after I got real sick. PLease excuse the sailfin tang in there, it was in a much larger tank until I downsized.

Nice start. Looks like some good rock. With the exception of the Sailfin, I'd be proud of that 29 too. Well executed.

thank you. Yes, that sailfin puts a bad spin on an otherwise beautiful tank. Much too small but that was my wifes favorite fish and we didnt realize how cruel it was, although unintentional. It was young and later went to a larger home, so hopefully no harm done long term to the fish.

Man, the rock in that tank must be HUGE...it makes the tank look short almost.

You could probably add some liverock, but not too much, this would make a really nice open display if you got all the rock zip-tied or onto acrylic rods.

GL! Post more pictures as updates come in!

The tank does look short in the video for some reason but the bottom row of the new live rock is HUGE. The top row is not as much.I liked the stacked look in live rock and have never latched it all together before. plan on getting some live rock tomorrow and some cerith and nassarius snails for remaining diatoms. will update plenty!

Well done Jworth...looking forward to watching this come together.

Thank you. I am very excited about its progress and getting back into the reef hobby. It makes me really regret tearing my old reef down. So many options with this bigger one though. You can look at one piece of live rock more often that you could look at some fish. Very interesting. Very much its own ecosystem. Much different than the freshwater fish I have been keeping. After my battle with a stone crab a few weeks ago, it has been very relaxing.

They say that watching aquariums lowers your blood pressure...

I cant eat enough salty food to keep up! Love my reefs. :D
