Here's a photo of my new 125, just picked it up and got it in the basement! Came with a brand new Eheim 2217, a heater, lights, and some airstones and a pump. Very excited to get this set up with some natives! Although I have to help finish getting the basement in order before my mom will even let me put a drop of water in it :grinno:

Cool, have you decided what your going to put in it?

I have a 6" Largemouth and two 4-6" bullheads I will be moving in there, and I'm thinking of adding a yellow perch, a black crappie, and possibly some type of pickerel.

I love Yellow Perch that would look good in there, I wouldn't put a pickerel in with the Bass, they are natural rivals like Lions and Hyenas, and it usually dosent end well.

Here's I quick little illustration that I threw together in photoshop on how I plan on decorating my tank. It looks a little crowded in the photo, but I should have plenty of room for everything to fit.

Just a little update:

Substrate was ordered last week. It hopefully will be in before the New Year.

Canister is all hooked up and ready to go, just need to open the bags of media and rinse everything, the only problem is that the suction cups to hold the inflow and outflow to the back of the tank are missing, I'll have to order some.

Also, went for a walk and found some nice branches that achieved the look that I wanted for the driftwood. I'll be treating them with hot water and soaking them until the tank is filled.

Another update:

Gravel finally came in! Had it special ordered through where I work, but the icy weather delayed the delivery. They also shipped an extra 50 lbs of gravel, which I didn't add to the tank. There's currently 150 lbs in the tank, I may add more later on if I have some extra room to do more aquascaping. I also was gifted a gorgeous piece of driftwood for christmas, it looks like a large hollow stump, which is exactly what I was looking for. I'd take a picture of it but its currently soaking in a cooler on the other side of the basement.
