I finally finished my remodeling and was able to set-up my new 125g, I would like to thank all of those who have given me advice either directly or indirectly(reading other threads). I plan on adding 3 more SDs, but since the tank has only been up 2 weeks and I just added the Nic I am going to wait a couple more weeks before upping the bio-load. I'm also trying to imagine the tank with 3 more SDs and the Nic grown out and wondering if I can squeeze in another cichlid(open for suggestions)?

I would think you could squeeze another cichlid or possible two in. Maybe a rainbow or a cutteri, or a severum, or a chocholate. Those are just off the top of my head. I'm sure theres a few more i'm forgetting.

Tank looks greatby the way.

Thanks, I thought about cutteri and chocolates before deciding on a nic but a few members at gcca.net talked me out of the chocolates due to aggression and since they keep every nasty ca out there I decided to listen.

This tank is an upgrade from a 55g, I had extra media bags laying and put about 10lbs of gravel from the old tank in each bag(20lbs total) to help cycle the new tank since the sand is 100% new.

Very nice setup... May I critique the setup? I hope you don't mind.

1. If you're going to have plants, you might as well go with real plants.
2. The equipments in the tank are very distracting. I think you can go with a nice filter and a powerhead and can hide it because you have a black background.

The plants are a carryover from my 55g. The 2 plants in the last picture are real, I had some extras in my 20g and wanted to test my SDs before spending the cash(so far so good). I have 2 fluval 405s that are both less than 5 months old so I don't plan on replacing them but I do plan on hiding them better as the scaping evolves. As for the Fluval E 300 heaters, I thought they would blend better but since they are also new I will have to focus on hiding them better as well. If there are canister accessories that are reasonably priced and will look better please let me know.
Thanks
