picked it up today, paid way too much but they are hard to find in central NY, especially perfect specimens like this, always been a solitary fish and only hours after introduction to his 1/2 of the 125gal. hes beggin for food!!

looks to me like a large caribe, with a faded humeral spot, almost none if any captive reds get to 12", and they have totally different coloration, the faded humeral spot on caribe is expected with it's age and size

did u say a 100$, thats a steal, u got a real good deal, he could go for 300 pluse ez, nice fish , hope mine grow out as nice.

wow cool, I wondered why it was so large, my old red bellys didnt get that big, he was turned in by a woman whos son had passed away, not sure where he got him, I did a little research and he does look just like cariba!! pretty cool p, actually comes to the glass when you approach the tank
