Hello,

I've just inherited a 130 Gal salt tank from my brother following his passing. It came with 3 fish.
I have them in a 10 gal tank for now.

The big tank was transported 400 km with about 45 gal of it's original water, all the coral was bagged and nothing was washed.

I seem to have balanced the hp @ 7.6, temp. 75 degrees, salt 1024.

What else needs to be done before I re-introduce my brothers 3 favorite fish to the big tank.

Thanking you in advance for your help,

Sven

Sorry to hear about your brother. Try to get water parameters as close as possible in the two tanks and then drip accilmate the fish. What fish are they?

Thank you very much for your advice.
I must say that the temp and hp numbers were given to me by the local pet store. I'll get the temp and hp up.

Thanks again

First you need to get your ph to 8.2-8.4 and your temp up to 78-82. let us know when that happens.

also i noticed you live in canada, home to one of the best online saltwater forums i know about. http://aquariumpros.cagood luck

Hello,

I've got my ph and temp up and have re-introduced one fish very slowly. It appears to be doing OK. I'll give it a few more days and see how it does before putting my other 2 fish in. Any advice on good ways to pick a store to purchase fish?

I've also ordered a blue star fish

Thank you
Sven

Hello Radley,

I found out that I have 2 yellow tangs and the other is a smaller black fish with white patches, it seems to be very brave at feeding time where as the tangs like to hide a little more.
