Just starting on my 130 again. Will house my horny dels to start, then several synodontis cats, 2 ornates and 4 laps, plus other misc fish. Full details in my blog.
My syno angelicus and ornate have been tankmates for 11 years. There's never been an issue. The only one I've ever seen bug a bichir is my new syno brichardi. He doesn't suck on them, but he hovers right above them and "rides" them around the tank. Pisses them off quite a bit.
U better leave out the ornates and laps.
The male delhezi could get more ehmm...adventurous than you think and try the ornates and laps for dessert.
End up with hybrids.
I'm hoping so.
Hit the first snag this orning after filling it. I checked with a level before filling and it was off a bit. Turned out to be off more than I could stand, so had to drain, level, and refill. Halfway done refilling now.
Thanks valderi.
The tank is refilled, and I have the driftwood in. I'll work on arranging that today, getting the first plants in, and adding some buffalohead cichlid fry just to make sure everything is good to go.
I'll also be adding some filter media from my 50 gallon to skip the cycle.
