New 135 gal.

So I just picked up a 135 tank and stand and a couple of weak filters for $80 on craigslist in the bay area. I am planning to put 2 (4 in) ocells, a ( 7 in ) rainbow aro, and idk what else. I was thinking a tigrinus. Does anyone know if those fish with interfere with each other? In about a month im going to get a fx5, until then i will do water changes every 4 days or so. all advice will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

That's a smokin' deal. I would have picked that up in a heartbeat.

As for as stock suggestions, this might belong on the general board, and FX5 sounds good for filtration but you might want to supplement it with additional smaller filters, like the ones that came with it.

Sand has its pros and cons... some fish really need it because they like to dig (eels, loaches) or like to "eat it" searching for food (some species of cichlids).

What are you planning on keeping in your tank?

i already have two pbass and a rainbow arowana. im also getting 5 mono and kel hybrids once they are about an in. soooo if those make it ill put hose in there until they get bigger and prob get another tank to accomodate my fish.

i say you put sand but that's because i don't like the way bare bottom tanks look.
