I only have 3 small baby fish and I'm going to pick up a 72X18X24 135 gal tank for them. would it be ok to temporarily use only a hot magnum that runs 250 gal per hour. i dont want to buy an aquaclear 110 yet and i was wondering if the fish would be ok if i just had the magnum and a powerhead for filtration.

ok im just going to set up the 135 gallon tomorrow with just the magnum and 2 more heaters. i'll do alot of water changes untill i get the aquaclear. since the fish are small i dont think the bioload will be too high.

if you get any more larger fish spring for a wet dry

its fine itll handl the bioload.the only possible prob i if there isnt enough water movement you might get green water

i have two sponge filters powered by a whisper 800 air pump, a hot magnum rated for a 55 gal, a little powerhead and 3 thermometers in that tank, see if you can spot them in the picture. How long can I wait untill I have to get an aquaclear 110? and after i buy it will my tank have enuff filtration?
thanks for the responses.

btw, i have a baby pbass, bichir and african pike in there and planning to grow them all out in that 135.
