Hey everyone,
So I have been busy the last few days with my new 140 gallon that I picked up on Friday. Before this I had an 80 gallon with my jaguar and an oscar, but the oscar started getting beaten and they were outgrowing it so I gave my oscar away. I set up the 140 and transferred my xp3 from the 80 to the 140 plus the 140 came with 2 AC70s. I am planning on buying an fx5 soon, so hopefully I can get a good deal after christmas. The tank cycled really fast so today I transferred my GT and pair of convicts from my 55 to the 140 and so far the jaguar seems to be leaving them alone even though they are much smaller. I don't know how long it will work out for though so I will have to keep my eye on them.
I had the 55 running basically empty other than a banjo catfish so I went to my local fish store and, although I wasn't planning on getting anything crazy, I ended up getting a wolf fish. The guy fed him in front of me and I was sold. It's about 5-6 inches long so I'm planning on letting him grow in here for now.
Here are some pics of the tanks and fish. I was wondering if you guys can help sex my jag and GT. My jag is about 9 inches and the GT about 4. The GT has a lot of colour on him and is one of the best looking ones i'v seen but it doesn't have much of a bump on its forehead. does this just take longer to form? It has been growing almost an inch a month while the other one hasn't really grown much at all. I was also wondering if anyone has experience keeping a jag and a wolf fish together, and if it could work in my 140?
