This is my first post. Thanks for all the info so far. I have a 150 gallon 72 x 18 x 28" Aqueon glass aquarium with a Fluval FX5 canister filter and a Eheim Pro 3E 2076 cannister filter with two Hydor 300W inline heaters and two Marineland single bright LED lights, an Azoo battery backup air pump with a bubble wall along the back of the tank, 2"of sand and lava rock and 2 large pieces of driftwood, anubus, java fern and an amazon sword. Stocking list: 6 giant danios, 5 silver dollars(3"), 2 electric blue Jack Dempseys(2.5"), 1 tiger oscar(2"), 1 polyornate bichir(4.5"), 1 rubbernose pleco(1.75"), 1 albino long finned bristlenose pleco(1.5"). I also set up a 20 gal molly tank and a 20 gal guppy and Endlers live bearer tank to breed feeders. Tank has been set up for about 5 weeks and I have yet to add the Oscar. Trouble finding a small one. I may also add a sailfin marbled Pleco and rehome the other plecos when they start to get picked on. What do u guys think? Any problems I should anticipate. I am already finding that the silver dollars nibble on my plants if I don't feed them enough. Also, thinking about adding 3 ropefish. Do u think ill be overstocked?

welcome to the forum,
firstable, bichirs and plecos are not a good combination, your tank is big enough to house your current stock, however as soon as the ornate grows, he will start picking on tankmates. I prefer keeping bichirs within their own species, besides you can fit in a couple more bichirs in your current tank.

Unless its a fully grown ropefish
