My loving girlfriend is buying me a 150 gallon tank. It was used as a live reef tank it comes with a rever osmosis system and two fx 5s i think. Im planning on running a uv sterilizer. Does the filtration sound good to start with. But the main question im gonna be setting it up for fresh Water can i use the ro unit? I am clue less on ROs

What are you planing to put in your tank? Depending on your stock I think two FX5's would be more than enough for filtration. Never used RO sorry

Only been 11 hours mate... Gotta be patient sometimes
The R/O unit can be used for freshwater, especially if you plan on keeping sensitive or softwater/low pH fish. Filtration sounds fine. I personally use one FX5 on my 150G, so two is perfect

Sorry for being impatient. Ill prolly bold off on using it till i figure it out a little more but as far as fish list its looking ljke grow outs from kther tanks. Gkt a lima catfish a senagal poly a black ghost
knife and a banded leopontis. Any idea to what else would work would be appreciated

Not sure as far as other stocking options go. I'm more of a biotope guy myself, so I'm the wrong person to ask haha

A biotope is an area that is uniform in environmental conditions and in its distribution of animal and plant life; e.g. A Lake Barombi Mbo biotope would have only flora and fauna specific to Lake Barombi Mbo.
