I got this tank off of craigslist for $400. Drilled acrylic tank w/overflow box, lights, heater, wetdry, a crapload of nice rock (holey rock etc). Anyway the wetdry isn't all that big, probably ~25-30 gallons with bioballs, and the pump figures to turn the tank over 4x/hour, so I'm thinking I'll want to add a 2nd filter. I have a fluval 404 on my 55 (which will be my growout), if I add this filter to the wetdry should I be OK? I was thinking I'd add that (seeded) filter to my new tank and put something like an AC110 on my growout.

Re: stocking, I have an oscar and uaru so those are definite. I've got some cons in there and I'll probably add the shortbody con that I have (since the other cons beat it up and the O leaves her alone). I'm looking for suggestions, mainly re: dithers and a catfish that's likely to work. This is tentative list:

1xOscar
1xUaru
1xShortbody Con - all definites

2xSeverums
1xPoly (probably a senegal)
1xRedtail Chalceus (if I can find one) - these are close to definite

So I just need some ideas re: dithers and cats. I might try GDanios again; maybe in the bigger tank my O won't be able to catch them. My other possibles are SDollars, Red Hooks, or Tinfoil Barbs. I'm thinking the tinfoils will be a bit big for the tank (it's 6'x18"x30"). For cats I'm thinking a couple of 4line pictus. I like regular pictus but I'm not sure they'd get big enough. A lot of the common cats seem too big for my tank (lima shovelnose etc) or too small for my other fish.

What about clowl loaches? I know they grow slow, no problem waiting on them to grow. Most people seem to have decent sized groups...could I substitute a group of CL for the dithers?
