Found on craigslist up for trade, got it for 200 including a separate cage (6'x26"x3'), which I re-enforced, and am using as a stand, pretty excited, beats the hell out of my 90 gallon...
2nd picture is how it looked before I cleaned it up, it was pretty gross, not sure why the brace is on the top of the tank, guy took it off and it worked fine without it, but I'm paranoid that maybe he had it on for a reason, so I think I'll just leave it
Does anybody know of the fastest way to cycle it?

use an established filter or take water from a established tank

Yup.
I'd clean my old media from an established tank into the new tank; after being treated with prime.

Why clean the media? Cleaning it may kill off the Beneficial Bacteria. Just use the media as is.

Maybe the brace used to hold a light fixture of some sort? As long as the tank is in good condition and the braces are good too, your fine.
