I went out and bought a 180 gallon (6x2x2) tank today which is currently sitting in the garage. I got it used, but its a real beauty. Upon arriving at my house with said tank, it occurred to me that I have no real plan as to what kind of fish i want to put into it except for the current population of my 75 which includes:

8" tiger oscar
7" albino tiger o
6" FM jack dempsey
6" M convict
6" plecostomus

How many more fish can I put in this tank without overstocking? I know I don't want to stray too far from the CA/SA cichlids, but I'm also looking for a lot of movement in the tank as well. What do you guys suggest?

um i think a few larger fish would be fine in there.
i have a pair of jags anda pair of umbees in my 230
with a silver aro.
that works just fine

2 Rottkiel sevs
1 beani
1 hatian
1 freddy, loisellei, or red mota
2 geophagus there are tons but my favorites are red bahia, jurapari, and pindare

only the jag or an aro would require a whole tank to itself, and the jag only if it was really aggressive

4 severums
2 chocolate cichlids
1 snook

Green Sevs would be pretty cool. I was actually considering Vieja Argentea, but how many? I'm not sure but i heard that male red bay snooks get 20+ inches no?

Would a male GT and an Electric Blue JD be alright?
