New 2 foot alligator gar

I recently recieved this gar as a rescue. Hes beat up a bit, but swimming around his new tank. I have him in a 5x3x2 for now. He measured at 24-25"
I turned my drip system up to 4gph to help with healing for now.

Also, i looked at the sticky to give a positive id on gars, and to me he looks like an alligator... thoughts? Heres a few pics of him taken with flash as he is still a bit darkened:

Thanks, The tank is holding up fine. I have more confidents in this liquid rubber every day. I have plans for another tank, this one will probely be made into its sump.
