Hey there, first saltwater tank ever and iv been doing some research on nano or small skimmers for it when the time comes.

Everyone has different opinions. Any ideas on a good little skimmer for my new 20 gallon tank, Just 2 damsels and live rock.

tunze, reef octopus either the hob or the other one, deltec mce series, and there are other good ones ou there. dependson your budget

IMHO - don't choose your skimmer based on price.

well yes and no. If I found a deal then a deal is a deal is a deal. But if i'm buying new, I've wasted enough money on filters, skimmers, and UV filters to know that I'm just gonna end up forking up the money for a better quality one later. so my advice is to read some customer reviews, and get a nice skimmer rated for a 50+ gal tank and see if you can afford it.

I tend to like this design for HOT

Probably would not recommend this one

bakpak's work well for smaller systems, and not my normal advice but prizms would do the trick as well. Both are reasonably priced for your size tank and whatnot.

well drsfostersmith.com has them and there fairly priced. marinedepot also has them but ive noticed that they throw on a lot of package charges and handling charges and what not lol.
