Ok hello, I am now convinced I probably know just about enough to screw things up. Would appreciate some advise
I am putting up a 220gallon oscar tank, nothing this big before.
estimated total size after decorations 215 gallons 72x24x30"
Total fish will be 4 oscars one black knife 2 small plecos 8" max growth and one green terror they are 3-5 inches now and get along well in an 80. i.e. I have culled them out.
7 snails estimate
Filters 2 fluval FX5's
UV filter turbo twist in line on one of the fluvals
Question one "Does this seem reasonable" ?
Question 2 "Any suggestions or observations/ things I should consider"?
3) Is there any reason to consider a wave maker in a tank this sze with the proposed filters.
4) I have some large chilid type river rock how much ( deep 1/2 inch or 1 inch ) should I shoot for as substrate.
5) Can I use 100% clear silicon from Lowes for attaching plants etc or do I need a specialty type of silicon
6) Anything other thoughts
thanks for your consideration
K
