I am almost ready to fill up my 220 gallon.

I installed the slimline background from aquaterra, and have been boiling some boulders for the last couple of days. My 125 is already getting a little full with my latest additions. Will post pics of the setup as i go

In the last 2 weeks i have the following holding

3 phenochilus

I got the Placidochromis sp. "Phenochilus Tanzania" on new years day, and within 3 days, i had 2 holding, and another was goining at it when i left this morning.

I want to get a few exochromis as well, but that will have to wait a little

man I am completely jealous! I'm hopin my gal doesn't kill me for settin a 125gallon up next to my 110gallon in our basement, yours must be very understanding of this hobby:) I've been tryin to find some WC or F1 Placidochromis Tanzanias, where'd you get yours?

Im finally able to get it set up on Sunday night!!

Those aritochromis are pretty active hunters..... had 3 little mbuna, then 2..... but the one that got eaten escaped somehow. ;) They are going in a 20 gallon ALONE!!

I got my phenocalus from a guy here in Toronto. Look online at dykemysters and dave's rare fish. the tanzanians are not cheap, but give them some rocks and they will spawn for you. mine are only around 3 or 4 inches. Got the feeling i wont have much room in my 75 gallon grow out tank for long lol.

Keep your eyes open - they do come up for sale sometimes

alrighty thanks for the advice. I have one Pseudotropheus Polit holding right now and I have six F2 Phenochilus that are roughly 2-3inches so hopefully they will start breeding in a couple of months. I also have a colony of 11 tropheus dubosoi that I need to research, not sure how long until they will start breeding but they are only about 2" a piece.

Any conspecific issues w/the Buccos and Aristos?

Those spilonotus look amazing.

Wheres the pics....
