I know, for you this isn't the most exciting kind of post to read but here it gows.

I got a great deal on a used 240 tank (tank dimentions are 79" * 28" * 24")!!

I got the tank in the pic, complete with:

-the stand in the pic

-a 40 gallon sump,

-two eheim 2228 cannisters

-lichtning

-Co2

And all the usual other stuff!

The best part is....it only gonna cost me €700,-!!! It belongs to a friend of mine, who is selling because he is moving. Ooooh, man I am excited!

Gonna check out how to get it to and in my place, but I assume it won't take longer than twee weeks.

A nice place for my lapradei's to grow some more :).

Not shure about the background though, it looks nice, but takes up a lot of space IMO. Should I take it out? Guess the bichir will need the room when they age.

Thanks! No it's a home made background. It is 10" thick in some places so I guess that isn't real good for the space. I don't feel like getting it out after a year or so when the bichir get to big, so I think I will get it out now. Or maybe downsize it a bit.

That's a nice tank and a great background. Too bad the background takes up so much space.
 
Ok, it's official. I'm jealous! Great tank.

I was just in Petsmart and tried to talk my wife into letting me have at least another 55g tank. No dice. I don't get it, I do ALL the work on my aquariums, once in a great while she helps me clean them but only when I tank them down completely. She wants to get me an XBox 360, I told her I didn't want it, but she could get me a 125g tank instead. Still no...she is still set on getting me the XBox. I don't get it, what possesses a woman to want to get her husband something that he doesn't particularly want, but won't get him something he wants? Especially when it probably costs about the same... :cry:

I'm stepping off my soapbox now. Thanks for letting me vent.

It is a nice tank, I like the background, at 240g, sounds as if you still have plenty of room to spare. :clap :headbang2 :thumbsup:
