I've done quite a bit of poking around the forums doing research on tankbuilders and I've found alot of info but I have a few concerns. First, as much as I'd love to go with acrylic, I think glass is going to work better since going to be keeping a handful of plecs. My L204 will most likely move to the new tank but I've never seen it attach to the glass once in the three years we've had it. My L264 on the other hand attaches itself to the glass everyday and I'm looking to add an L114 as well. I fear these two could do some serious damage to an acrylic tank once they reach maturity.

Which leads me to a glass 96x24x24. It doesn't seem like there are too many builders besides glasscages. The impression I get around here is they are not the best to deal with and the first email exchange I had with them with less than enthusiastic. Does anyone else make a glass aquarium this size?? I'm coming up with very little online and craigslist is only bringing up used acrylics this size. Any help would be appreciated. I'm planning on spending some serious money on this setup and I really want it to be right. Thanks in advance

I just bought a used glasscages 8x2x2 240 tank. Madding, a meember that usually hangs out in the gar forum just had a 500g built by glass cages. I didn't deal with them personally since I got mine used, but at least my tank is built like a house. I think you could throw it of a second story building and it would still be ok.

Mine is good. I can't see why the build quality isn't anything less than 100 times overkill! zebvance also bought a used glass cages 240. I talked glass cages a little pretending to be interested in a new tank, only trying to get info on a used one and the lady didn't seem to be rude, but definantly didnt go out of her way to please me. Either way, just think heavy! Especially if you're moving up or down a flight of stairs.

I live in Fl and this is going on a slab right on the left about 15 ft after you walk in my front door. Should be about 400 lbs. Moving it should be fun since I'll have to finish the stand in the garage before I can set it up in the house. I'll only have to move it once about 30-40 feet so it shouldn't be too bad but I will have to pick it up. The email I received was short to the point and didn't really seem like they wanted the business but if the build is good, I'll only have to deal with them once( hopefully). Dud you get the stand as well?

you type to much
