so i am getting a 240 for my bowfin shes a beast and needs some room.

what would be the right choice as far as filters?
i am considering a lifeguard+a fluid bed
or an oceanclear
a sump will be difficult unless i get a seperate overflow box
bioload is not a problem its water clearity i am most worried about
so any advise on that as well

I think a sump wet/dry would be best....make one large enough and you can add a lot of tank mates and not worry about bioload.

Other than that a couple of Xp3s and AC 110's would work well

My friend has 2 Ehiems 1 normal canister an 1 wet dry canister, Plus a magnum 350( for the occasional water polish. theres a BioWheel 60 on one of the outputs to. My next tank upgrade Im going with a lifegard + FBF. on my 120 I have two AC 110s an a fluval 403.

hi

i want to stay away from a hang on the back filter or multiple fiters i would rather just clean one thing i am tired of pulling the hob filters of all my other tanks all the time to clean them

Ok then your pretty much stuck with a Wet/dry , or the Lifegard+fbf

SUMP

I would for sure do a wet-dry along with a couple cannisters to polish the water.
