New 240G

I got into the hobby earlier this year, and after getting hooked I can't seem to be happy with my tanks. I started with a small 20g that now houses a few tropicals for the kids, a few months ago I purchased a 75g and put a largemouth bass in it (I always wanted one). Then I found this forum .... :headbang2 I now have permission from the BOSS to get a 240G tank to house the bass and a few bluegill after christmas. :drool: I plan to turn the 75 into a sump. I am looking for suggestions as to the best places to purchase a monster tank like this. I live in northern Virgina.
 
In the vegas craigslist they had someone post a 240 glass tank for free sucker was massive owner just wanted it out of storage.
 
I'd go with glasscages.com if you can't find anything that strikes your fancy locally. I've heard a lot of good things about their tanks on here, and check out the starphire glass they offer... its amazing

Also, you should consider dropping the 75G off at my place and you can have my 40G for a sump :D
 
I thought about glasscages, but I noticed on there site that they only offer a 90 day warranty. I don't know if I want to trust 240 gallons to a place that can only warranty it 90 days.

Asking a lfs won't hurt...I too am looking through the market for something large, preferably 180g.....My lfs cashier has a chart right by him with dimensions and matching prices....Ask your lfs....If you are a regular, he might knock off the shipping or give a 10-15% discount....For something like a 240g, I'd give a free filter....lol....Good luck and post pictures.....
