I feel like might have gone a bit crazy

so I used a nightstand, about 17x16 inches, and the tank is 18x18 so I attached a big piece of shelf wood to the top of it. First I glued it on, then attached it with screws. Hopefully, this is suitable for a stand... seems to me like it won't budge.

led lights with a night light too

Right now I have an aquaclear 50 running on it, with fine stoney river white aquarium sand, which I plan to add more of. I know it's not a huge tank, but it is the biggest tank i've had (20 was my biggest previous tank), and the dimension are quite interesting to me. Tomorrow I'm going to try to find some interesting driftwood and maybe some rocks for more caves, I'll add more pennywort or frogbit and maybe some java fern or anubias in the mix (I don't expect rooted plants to stay rooted in this tank), but I would like to keep an open area of sand on the bottom. If I find the right fishes, this will become a mini sandpit of doom. i'm talking about sand-dwelling ambush predators. I believe the fine sand and the square footprint is fitting for the theme.

Soon I will move my banjo catfish into this tank, where I think he will quite happy with all the sand to hide under, and more space than his current tank. I may try to get a bunch of banjos, and maybe a smaller spiny eel or other small bottom dwellers, and some small schoolers about, which I think would make for an awesome tank, especially because I will hopefully be able to watch nocturnal behavior better with the night lights on the marineland fixture. What I would like to do, most of all, is get one or two chaca chacas, and also a couple thalassophryne amazonica (aka prehistoric monster fish) if I can find them. But it's all speculative at this point; the possibilities are endless
