New 280gallon tank

Hi guys

I just got my new tank(180cmx60cmx80cm).

I need some help on substrate , i want to put the follow fish in it.

1)Alot of polyterus (How many will be good) I currently have 14endi's,02 ornates,2sen,2albino sen, which i am still growing.
2)1 Florida gar which i am still growing up.
3)1 aba aba(still growing up)
4)1 male frontoza
5)1 male JD
6)Pearl Eartheater
7)two cigar sharks
8)two Bala sharks
9)sting ray in the future , hard to get in south Africa.

Take all the fish above into account do you guys think having a tank with only
sand will be good for all these fish. I know this is a hectic mix of fish. Any advise will help

yep sand, bichirs can swallow rocks and die, same for stingrays better habitat in sand

I have seen tanks with aba in com tank. Have you had a ABA that killed your fish. I no that they get aggressive as they get bigger.

I have not had an Aba, I have just heard from numerous acounts that they murdered everything in the tank.

I guess i will be taking that risk if my small aba aba makes it.

Where in SA did you manage to find a Florida gar and please let me know when you find a Ray.
Oh and where did you buy your tank im having one build with similar dimensions (180X70x70) and i would love to have a ray in there.
