new 29 gallon

I just set up a free 29 gallon tank i got free from my nieghor, im running an aquaclear 50. i am thinking about what fish i want after the cycling process. i want something big (for a 29) and mean!! no convicts! do you guys have any suggestions? - Thanks!
 
How about a Jack Dempsey? Not too mean, but they can be.
 
I would get a salvini or a grammode if you can find one either one is color full and usually mean a dwarf pike in a planted tank would also be cool but they are small thats if you wan't cichlids though


A rainbow wolf fish would be great very cool fish
 
what do you think the biggest sized cichlid i could safely keep would be? inch wise
 
I think a 1' would be ok in a standard 29g, IMO
 
ok thanks. and what do you guys think the largest fish(in inches) would be for my - standard 20 gallon? and 20 gallon long?
