New 300G Backround and Bottom Color

I just bought the new 300 gallon 6'x3'x27" perfecto tank. The tank is going to be a show tank in the living room. I was thinking of painting the backround black and the bottom white or black. I can always cover the bottom with sand. I may in the long run keep a trio of pearl or P14 rays.

What color bottom would you do white, or black? Which will make the tank look nicer and which will make the rays look nicer?

Anyone have pics of these setups please show. But looking for pics with rays mostly.

I also like black with black but if i ever add dats or other fish I don't want them to darken up. Or will it not matter because the back is black?

I'm bias....so i will alway chose black back and sand.

i guess this depends on the indivdual fish. i have my 210 with black/black and two dats. 97% of the time theyre color is stable and theyre swimming about and they look great. if the fish gets stressed/scared, then yeah its gonna disappear in your tank! lol

Yeah they will disappear especially since the stand and canopy are going to be black. I am going to have a lot of light with 4x3' triple tube flurscent lights.
