Hello world!
Long time lurker first time poster. Thinking about the next tank and I want it to be the end all of tanks for me (don't want to keep upgrading!)
It's going to be a 300G (96L x 30W x 24H). Will plan on having 3x Fluval FX6 filters.
Plan for stock will be...
12 Denison barbs
3x pink tail chalceus
1x flag tail Prochilodus
2x electric blue jack Dempsey
2x red spot gold Severum
2x satanoperca leucosticta
2x geophagus winemilleri
1x synodontus granulosus
1x royal pleco
1x vampire pleco
1x titanic pleco
A couple of questions for those of you with much more experience than me...!
1. Any glaring errors with that group of fish?
2. Will they be distributed well in the water column? I feel it's a tad bottom heavy but I always seem to end up this way. Bottom dwellers are so great!
3. Stocking too heavy?
4. Do any of the cichlids need to be in larger groups? I chose a bunch of 2x to have more variety but don't want to compromise general happiness if they need to be in a small group of 5 or more... I have a feeling the two sets of eartheaters might need more than just two, which would mean I'd only go for one of the two species if that's for the best.
5. Would I have adequate filtration or do I need a large sump with a wet and dry?
Thanks so much for your attention and help!
