Hey everyone!

I just got a new 35g tank (36"x18"x12") off craigslist for 30 bucks, with a filter and some other random accessories. I'm looking for some stocking ideas. I'm going to get it up and cycling this week, and speed the process up with some media from my established tanks. I was wondering what kind of ideas you might have for a tank of this size, for life or at least about 2 years?

lets hear it!

35 Gallon tank options...

A. Breeding tank
B. Swordtail fish tank
C. Betta breeding tank
D. Dwarf Gourami

dwarf cichlids is my usual suggestion, or if u want to go community tetras and corydoras, and a centerpiec fish is always nice. any input on what u like and dont like?

I'm pretty much open to any suggestions. I've done tetras and cory's before and most community fish of that nature. Dwarf cichlids would be something new. I just wanted to kind of fish around for ideas. I'm always looking to try something new and I figured if anyone had good ideas, it'd be on this forum. However, I am fairly interested in attempting some breeding too...

I've even considered some kind of reptile, but thats for another forum....

-senegal bichir
-delhezi bichir
-banjo catfishes
-chaca chaca
-a bunch of peacock eels
-a betta sorority
-crayfish tank (breeding possibly)
-brackish crab tank, they poop alot though, and i think crays do as well
-ropefish
-salamanders (not a fish, i know)
-a heck of a lot of red bellied frogs
-pond setup with a small snake
(all not fish, i know)
-black kuhli loaches.. a lot of them. you could probably fit a good 50 in there and not stress the bio load. they dont poop alot. that would be awsum to see a million little black snake things going crazy every which way like that.
-rainbow crab maybe, FW and get to 8" diameter. so iv read.
-planted shrimp breeding tank
-a single solitary guppy.... nothing else lol

I think it's the perfect set up for a paradise fish!!!!!! Simply GORGEOUS member of the labyrinth family! One of my fav fish! Otherwise as far as breeding goes any livebearers would appease that or you could do a pair of convicts/firemouths, just depends on what you really want....
