I built this tank myself. I turned out OK for the most part. I hit a few snags along the way but all in all I am happy with the results.

Looks awesome!! I love your suspended lights! this tank is starting to get me into arows!! haha

i would love to DIY my own acrylic aquarium!! (SP?)

What are the dimensions? what problems did you have? how long did it take you?
Where did you end up setting it up?

Did you biuld the stand too? I really like the doors and the color! what type of wood is it?

The dimensions are 96x24x36 (lxwxh). The biggest problem I had was getting air pockets that wouldn't go away no matter how fast I went back and attempted to fix them with solvent. I ended up re-sealing the entire tank with a mixture of shavings I saved form drilling holes for the plumbing, and solvent. It made a thicker, syrup-like mixture which I used to seal the whole tank one edge at a time. This is a time consuming process so keep lots of beer on hand. You have to elevate each end seperately and allow 1 hour dry time before moving on to the next seam.

It took me a couple of months but that included building the stand, tank and sump. I built it on my days off. Its all pine construction using white oak stain and covered in varathane.
