i jus recently came back from china and bought myself 3d background inserts for my 75 which only cost me $12 USD. i was jus wondering if its absolutely necessary that i soak the styrofoam or can i jus simply rinse it thoroughly. also, wen i put it in the tank do i trim it so fits firmly right underneath the tank rim, or do i use an adhesive?

Howdy,

I recommend to strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions, whatever they say. I hope you can read Chinese ;)

Make sure to post pics!

pics?

there were no instructions included
:swear:

Okay, I can only tell you what I would do. I have no experience with this kind of background. But whatever you do, better safe than sorry. If you have the choice between soaking or rinsing, I'd soak. If you have the choice between wedging it into place or glueing, I'd use silicone. Better do it right the first time

Maybe some of our Asian members recognize the background and can give you installation instructions when you post pics.

Good luck,
HarleyK

would it be possible to jus fit it tightly between the bottom glass and top frame w/o silicone sealant, cuz i dont plan on takin all the water out

I know this won't help you out but that background will look really sweet when you do get some info on how to install it.

:iagree: and i think it would be ok if it fit suggly that you wouldnt need to silicone
