new 55 or wait?!

i need to know what to do here..petsmart has a 55 setup for $150 i have about $180. should i get this or get a used big tank, im planning on having 2 sengal bichirs and some other carnovarus (wrong spelling) fish in the tank. what size should i get? oh and one more question: will my brown african knife and peacock eel ever eat live? ive given them feeders but they ignore them:(
 
wait till you have enough moneys and buy a used big tank.

buy a 75 gallon used on craigslist. i just bought a 75 to upgrade my 55 and it looks way bigger. the 13 inch width on the 55 restricts the fish you can keep in it.

i bought two 125gal for $50.00........Just wait.....the bigger the better.
 
petsmart has that 55 gallon tank plus a stand for $150??? thats a reeeally good price. but you still have to think about the cost of a pump, filter, and the other crap youll need to begin & maintain it
 
well you got a hellofa deal buddy. i wish id come across somethin like that =( i didnt get ripped off by any means though. i got a 55 gal with everything (pump, filters, light, my pacu + goldfish, food, chemicals & water testers, etc.) for $200. just no stand..
