I set this tank up recently to serve as a grow-out for some datnoids/arowana. It's a standard 55g. I am using two AC 110s for filtration, one is packed with the stuff it came with (mesh, ceramic rings). The other i bought used so i filled it with pot scrubbers and ceramic rings- it does not have any mechanical aspect to it, I am hoping it will not get clogged. It also has a powerhead with a sponge filter.
I'd like to add some driftwood in there, I hear a quick boiling will water log it so that it will not float?
The bottom is my all time favorite substrate, tile. Well, technically it's slate but hey close enough. Looks great and makes for easy cleaning
So I'm using a wrought iron stand, and I figure it would look nicer with a large piece of black cloth wrapped around??
I'm using R/O water also...
