Got this from a friend of mine last night. It's in pretty good condition still. Not sure what I will do with it at the moment, but it will definitely be put to use! Once I build a stand for it then I have to figure out where to put it. I might take the 29g out of my room and replace it with the 55g, then put the 29g down in the basement with my 225g and use it as a grow-out or quarentine/hospital tank.

Anyone know if there is a difference between Quikcrete Pool Filter Sand and Quikcrete All Purpose Sand? I have never used Quikcrete sand before and wasn't sure if there was a difference between the two as far as quality, color, or size go. I will be housing Polypterus in this tank mostly so whatever is suitable for them.

Not sure on that.... Nice find tho!

Sweet find !

thanks guys. Here are some specs on what I want to do as far as the setup:
-48" Marineland Double Bright LED Fixture
-Light Timer (12/12 light cycle)
-Marineland C-360 Canister Filter
-300w Heater
-50lbs Sand

It won't be very fancy. I will be using this for a grow-out tank for a while and then once my 225g is up and running I will work on an Aquascape for this one

Got my glass tops today and picked up a digital thermometer. I will be working on a stand for this on Saturday so that should be done next week. I will also be painting the background black. Once I get the tank up on the stand then I will start setting up my filter and getting the tank ready for fish.

Grabbed a 50lbs bag of Pool Filter Sand. I get paid tomorrow so I will order my filter and heater tomorrow, then Saturday I will paint the background and finish the stand. This tank should be setup and filled by next week or two depending on how long it takes me to receive my filter and what not. I also have to figure out where I am going to put this tank, but I can worry about that once I get my stand done.
