new 5inch CK - not eating yet, 5 days

Hi there
got a new ck, 5 inches

it was eating at the LFS, but i got it foralmost a week now, not eating, i dont want it to starve to death
feeding shrimp, plenty of food there but its not coming out of its hole. seems still fat and healthy, but stomach is definatley empty, doesnt have that usual bump on its belly

how long should CKs start eatin

It might take him a week or two to settle in to a new aquarium, what are his tank mates and water parameters. Also you might want to feed him when the lights are off if your not already doing this.

yeah, feeding him when lights are off too, but doesnt come out to eat.

there is a fire eel and there is a ornate bichir and a asian aro.

they dont touch each other, they all happily live together and stuff. with each of their own houses.

the eel eats left overs from everyone,
ornate is new.
CK is there 1 week.

i have never really had cks so im trying it as i like them. 2 weeks! wow, for something so small but ok

My monster eats one feeder per month....Haven't seen it eat anything else for more than 2 months....

going for food but spits it out as its probably not used to the food yet.

try feeding it in the dark ck's are nocturnal

feed him guppies mine ate its first two today after about two weeks. be patient. good things come to those who wait.
