Hey everyone,

So I'm redoing my tanks. I'm turning my 75 gallon into an "open water" Tang tank and I tore down my 65g SA Discus tank because there was some kind of funkyness in it that was pissing me off. I couldn't get it to go away so I simply destroyed the source :D. The 65g will become an "African reef" tank, with rock piled up everywhere.

Anyways, my questions:

Where can I get that sexy black sand I've seen in a few aquariums? I have white lace rock that would look awesome against black sand.

Where can I find Enantiopus sp. "Kilesa"? I want these for my 75.

How do I prevent sediment and whatnot from piling up on the bottom of the 65g tank?

Finally, does anyone have suggestions for fish? Right now I'm looking at (for the 75g): Cyprichromis leptosoma Utinta, Enantiopus sp "Kilesa" , a pleco or two and my Aulonocara Jacobfreibergi. Oh yeah, and my "Lazer Orange" cory cats, which I think are actually Brochis (sp?)

In my 65g I plan to have: Aulnocranus dewidnti (sp?), Cyp. lept. "Blue Flash", Neo. pulcher "Daffodil", Neo. caudopunctatus, Alto comps or calvus (not sure yet) and what else? There's heavy filtration on both tanks and I am sort of anal about tank maintainence haha.

I'm looking for suggestions for both tanks, and any other imput that would be helpful!

Dude piranha are possibly the most boring fish I've ever watched swim around... I mean really, this is the African Cichlid section.

I'm in Bellevue, I usually go to Kevin and Sean's A Place for Pets if Sierra can't get in what I'm looking for. Any other suggestions? I've never been to Aquarium Solutions, but I live a ways away from it. If it's worth it one day I'll make the drive out there.

I was given the peacocks and always wanted to try some out. If they wind up not working out down the road I'll remove them, but for now they're little and get along with everyone else. As far as the debris go, I just don't want to see it in between my cleaning. There's gotta be a way to get it to filter out better.

Alright, I'll probably do that. That'll create a nice current at the bottom of the tank as well.

So what about black sand? Anyone know if it's available or if I have to go online to hunt it down?

Then the stock lists. Changes, suggestions, additions?

you should be able to find black sand at any petco petsmart any of those places but i dont know how that will work with a undergravel
