Im not as experianced as most of you guys im guessing........ but i was assuming when i signed up here i can learn....you all attack peoples knowledge if they seem not to know as much as you. Read the posts on here some time.....What % is informative and what % is "i know more then you"
are you feeding him goldfish when you say feeders?....I have a 13 inch rtc i dont give him goldfish as a main diet he has had maybe 15 in the time iv had him. im no expert and dont claim to be but in my opinion i would say stay away from goldfish as food. good luck with your fish tho. And yea they are so awesome to watch swim .....
yeah get away from feeders unless ur breeding. Its not healthy and not economical. Mine eats 8 pounds of tilapia a month. And i dont feed him every day. Good luck
its all a learning game. I feed my rtc and rt/tsn both red worms and they may eat some feeders during the night dont know but try all diff kinds of food and what ever they like the best thats what you feed. I just joined aswell but have been raising and breeding for a few years, just know got to the point in my life and money to do things real big just remember that its all up to the fish not anybody"s opinion.
They are usually not picky eaters, try things like shrimp, scallops, tilapia fillets, sinking pellets like massivore. Mine won't even eat feeders, which is good since they aren't very healthy.
If you put to many in there it could mess up the water chemistry. But 5 there should be no problem. I like the tilapia idea but I feed my guy bluegill & carp
