After over a year with a 110 that's way too tall for plants to grow well in and having to go diving to even reach the bottom (covered in over 6-7 inches of sand!)...I finally got a new 75g!
Took down the 110 and set up the 75 this past Sunday/Monday. Still trying to sell the 110, PM me.
The floating plants on the right are for sale, PM me, so I'll get a new picture with my real camera when they're out.
The crypts you see in the front are from a giant mother plant I had in my 40 that I split up and planted in the 110. As you can see, they did little more than sit frozen in time! But the crypts on the wood exploded, leading to all of them that are now extras and floating!
Still need to add some more sand and I'll be pretty much done. Hoping to either get my 40 on a stand or sell/trade for another 75. Seems to be the perfect size tank. I'd love to have a huge, 10L 3W 2D tank one day in a basement of a permanent house. I'd grow sooo many plants and my BGK would be so happy with all the space. Plus, it would be nice to have all the fish in one tank and not in two.
Crappy cellphone picture, sorry. There's 3 angels, 2 males stick together and hate on the female....All have been prime for spawning several times now, but the two males refuse female company...I have a baby, 1/2in angel growing out in my 40, really hope it makes it, it's so darned small!! That tank only has cory and plecos, so little threat to the angel. Back to the 75, the BGK, one BN pleco and I think 14 black skirt tetra, one of my favorite fish, crazy hardy, nothing kills them, so I love having them and occasionally add a couple more. I killed one with the hose while draining the 110. =( Thought I had gotten them all. Haven't found any other fish I like having to add to the mix. Can't add anything that might compete with my knife, limits the fish some.
Anyway, I'm loving the 75, I'm sure I'll see new growth real soon!
IDK if the video will work, so added the link as well.
