Have just stocked up my fairly newly acquired 800l tank. Here a couple of photo's of some of the fish. Enjoy as much as I do.
Who can guess the exact name of the the blue and silver fish? It is most definitely not a hybrid. The only clue I will give you.

A very nice Copadichromis trewavasae (Often called Mloto Likoma)

I wish mine would show that much color...

These fish had been unpacked about 3 hrs before I first saw them. No fish was showing colour, but, within a 1/2hr this guy became dark blue with the silver/white top. He was not the largest male there but he was the first to colour up. I was absolutely mesmerised by it.
Bought a Cop borleyi Mdoka, 2nd pic, and a Protomelas black belly Mdoka and Protomelas tiger. This fish is somethiong to see. Will try and get a good shot of it to post. Am still to get a couple other fish, Copids, Placidochromis and Protomelas which I plan to put into 3 new 1,5m tanks I need to get built up and running.
This guy is Cop. trewavasae chisimulu. Great that you were able to peg the corret name to it. :naughty:  :headbang2 :nilly:

i just love your new set up.. your fish have very vivid color and i think i see an n.venustus in there....i cannot quess the two in question.. i will leave that to the experts.. and i am not sure which one is the fuelleborni..all the fish are beautiful..Is that the c. Borleyi with the gold coloring.. anyway all gorgeous..does the black belly Mdoka have mostly a blue coloring..

Yah I couldn't have even attempted to figure out the area. Though if I recall Chizumulu (Chisumulu) Island is one the places where a lot of paratypes come from.

Anyways just a word of warning while the rocks look cool and the mbuna will like it watch out for the peacocks/haps getting trapped in them or scratching themselves during the night. I just lost a beautiful 8 inch Protomelas sp. "Spilonotus Tanzania" because of my rocks.

pic of filtration please
The filtration is a rather large EHEIM canister that circulates quite a volume of water. Not too sure what the l/hr is. Got it with the tank. Previous owner is going off sailing, for an indefinite period, and they have loaned/given me the tanks they had. :naughty:  :headbang2 :nilly:

Are these borleyi {kandango}the same as you have?? Do the male and females look the same as babies..thanks!!
