Hey Guys, i just got this 90 gallon tank off craigslist, was a saltwater tank for fish but i cleaned it up really good. im gettin my beardy soon and im going to buy everything i need for him on wendesday. I was wondering where can i get a lid that fits this tank...i know its 90 gallons.. but what places sell 90 gallon lids..mu budget is 400 bucks so any ideas on the necessities i will need, lighting etc.... that will be cheap and make his paradise beautiful

all i can say is DO NOT USE SAND i do not care who you ask i dont care if everone else in the world says to use sand except me but it is very dangeroud dont use sand!

I hate you lol, power goes out for a few days so coudn't go on craigs to find a big fish tank....

Well you should defiantly be able to cover everything you'll need with $400

Grab 2 hiding spots, UV Fixture 10.0, basking lamp, water bowl, food bowl, repti-carpet/news paper/butcher paper/tiles/etc as a substrate, at the upcoming reptile show in west chester you can pick up nice branches for your beardie.

I recommend you to wait for the reptile expo and get everything thier for cheap...you can even get the company "glass cages" to bring you the glass tops..

you can even get a bearded dragon morph for cheap.

Seems to be a good video for a young bearded dragon....when your dragon gets big upgrade the size of the hides if anything

You'll need a screen top, but you can also get these from Glasscages. You should be able to get a 48x18" screen top at a reptile show or possibly from a local pet store, though some don't stock them that large. As was already mentioned, you will need a UV light as well as a basking bulb. You can kill both birds with one stone if you go with a mercury vapor bulb.

On the killing two birds with one stone thing... you need to make sure that is DOES actually produce UVB as well as heat. not all mercury vapor bulbs do..... in fact most bulbs don't, the ones that do will specify that they do and will cost a bit more.
Also want to discuss the ignorant statement about sand but I have to get to work so I will do it later.
