Help me decorate.

please send donations to........ j/k just want help with ideas.

every tank ive ever had has been natural colored gravel, with some fake plants, clay pots, and some fake driftwood/cave structures.

ill be keeping a pair of Haitiensis in the tank and maybe a firemouth who's being a jerk in my festae tank.

i have access to some free rocks, 3-5 lb each as many as i want from like 2000. so i was gonna build a cave structure maybe.

anyways, post some ideas or pics to inspire me.

ok, i ended up with a 120g tall i guess ud call it. its 48x18 but taller then the 90. i got alil extra room, just vertically, since i didnt have any spare room width wise. plus it was dirt cheap.

i like the idea of a black background, but how would that look with the rocks i can get for free being black/dark grey too, is that too much. and what type of gravel/sand would u recommend?

Good luck with the new tank.

If you're going to go with sand, definitely use pool filter sand. It's much heavier and settles much quicker, making tank maintenance a lot easier. I learned this the hard way. Good luck with the new tank.

if it's 48"x18"30" then it's actually a 110. That's what I have and it has a black background, plenty-o-rocks, and pfs and I absolutely love the way it looks, I'll never go back to a shorter tank(even though tall ones are a pita to clean)

This is without the black background(obviously) but you get the idea
