I saw that at least a few other Ohioans were planning on heading to Aquarium Adventure for their big sale. I went today and got a new heater with my 25% off one item coupon and two flag-tailed prochilodus at 65% off. Normally $50 each and I got 2 for $35. They are really cool little guys at about 3" and they're already out and cruising and grazing around the 75 gallon I have them in for now.

Anybody else pick up anything?

NICE PICK UP.....NICE FLAGS!!!!

Nice. I didn't end up picking up any fish My g/f got a gold nugget and a cheshire pleco though. for like $38 together.

I'd never noticed them at AA before that I can remember (other than the big one in their ray display tank), but that could be due to the $50 price tag. It has to be a pretty sweet fish for me to even give it a second glance when it costs $50+ lol. I'm lucky I even saw these guys. They were along the back wall where they normally only have livebearers and I rarely even bother looking at them, but on 65% off day, I checked every freshwater tank lol.

So I was doing a little extra research on these guys and saw some people saying that they are aggressive with conspecifics when they mature. Does anyone happen to know at what size/age this starts to occur? Right now they are best buds, rarely more than 6" from each other, but it sounds like I may eventually need to rehome one if I can't get 2 big tanks to house them individually down the road.

How big were they when they started getting aggressive towards each other? ATM they're fine, but I do have a divider for the tank they're in if things start to turn nasty
