added a new 5 inch african brown knife to my 56 gallon tank. was tired of my other knifefish not being out in the open, always hiding, so here he is. one is a pic of him when i brought him home, the other of the tank. i added a 18" bubble curtain in the front of the tank instead of that small airstone in the pics. enjoy

thanks. theres a bit of aggression between the small ABK that ive had in the tank for a while and the new one. hoping that will settle down after a bit, ill know in the morning.

Might need to rearrange the decor so they can both set up some new territory.

great idea benz, kinda like after i moved some stuff around, one of my sick ABK's started to eat. my smaller ABK territory is inside that roman bridge. i tipped it on its side so i wasnt worried that hed get stuck trying to get into, hed curve sideways up into it. so move some stuff around for the night and see how aggression is in the morning? should fix it? as you can see, ive decided against the BGK until i get my 120 set up, im planning on getting a 120 for when i move to carbondale, plus when i move to a house, i was going to use it as a good guide for water changes in my 360 tanks. fill, heat, dechlorinate, change, do next tank etc.

id say that they had off and on quarrelling for a good 2 and a half hours, but now the smaller one has retreated to his bridge. i think im gonna move the log on top of it so if hes in it hes out of sight.

the bulb i got in there is a coralife 50/50 actinic bulb, gives it a purple tinge, love it, although it was pretty pricey. couldnt find full actinic lighting.

Yes...it may help the aggression. If it doesn't, remove the aggressor for a few days and rearrange the tank decor again, before releasing it back in. This may work.

im gonna rearrange now. but judging by things now, they have cooled down. the little one comes out for a little bit but then darts back in to his bridge, but he doesnt go near the big one. but im gonna move the other stuff around and turn his bridge around so he cant see him out and about if hes spying.
