New Ackies!!!

Just thought I'd share some photos of my new juvenile Varanus acanthurus brachyurus pair I got in the mail this morning from Alex (varanio). I've always loved monitor lizards and I've wanted a pair of this species for a while now so I'm really excited about getting them. They've settled in quickly and were already eating crickets after being in their new enclosure for 5 minutes. The male is about 6 weeks old and the female 4.

I can't thank Alex enough for holding onto this pair for me. They are even better looking then I imagined. These photos don't do them justice.

nice monitors, that looks like a nice set up too, do you have full enclosure shots? Will they retain the coloring as adults?

Thanks guys. Right now they're in a 50 gallon breeder. In a few months I plan on building them a larger enclosure. I'll get pics of it tonight.
