new acquisition problem

yesterday i bought 2 delhezis and 2 ornates, each around 3-4" in length, they all seemed to be in great condition, and they are, until i saw 1 of my ornate only has 1 eye... is there any concern regarding his condition? can it affect him in terms of living normally?

that's a relief..... coz i know that they are more dependent on their sense of smell rather than sight. but nevertheless i just wanted to be sure.

Bichirs are incredibly resilient, even through traumatic damage.

I have seen bichirs missing one and both eyes, I had one that had only one pectoral fin, and they were all getting along fine.

yeah he should be fine. bichirs hunt/feed mainly with there sense of smell, not sight. so having 1 eye won't slow him down much. just name him sloth and give him a baby ruth every now and then

hahaha That made me think of my albino frog that is missing his two front appendages. I saw him at the LFS like that and asked if there was a discount for the armless frog, and he gave it to me for free haha
